Annalakshmi
“Eat as you wish” and “Pay as you wish”…these are the words that every graduate student dream of hearing. Bryan and I decided to dine at a restaurant called Annalakshmi this past weekend. The restaurant prides itself in these three things—service, love, and giving, and they also celebrate and embrace the “Eat as you wish…pay as you wish” dining experience. Annalakshmi stays afloat not because of profit, but rather, service. The restaurant is run fully by a volunteer staff—cooking, serving, and cleaning….everything! It is a group of volunteers who come together to serve. They don’t believe in putting a price tag on their delicious food…they let you determine what you’d like to pay based on your dining experience. We had a delicious meal in a beautiful restaurant, with a wonderful wait staff, and after we broke bread we paid what we wanted and enjoyed the rest of our evening. It was a really fun and different date night!
