In honor of the winter Olympics
Bryan and I joined a team this past weekend and competed in an Olympic competition here in Singapore. We played on a team with some of Bryan’s friends from College Green (where he lived last semester). Our team competed in dodge ball, badminton, pool, tennis, foosball, chess, basketball, and a potato/spoon race. I didn’t get too many pictures from the day because I was so busy trying to put on my game face and “dominate”as Bryan likes to put it. But as you can see per Bryan’s neon headband, it was all business that day. We learned a couple of things that day:
-The tennis lessons that my parents paid for when I was younger didn’t really pay off in the end because we lost 3/3 games. However, I did discover that I really do like tennis. Maybe I’ll pick up those lessons again where I left off.
-Bryan is much better at chess when there isn’t a timer.
-Neon headbands help you win 3 games of pool.
-Lithuanians are really good at basketball.
-Hawker Centre food (open-air dining canteen that serves really cheap food) tastes really good after a solid day of competition.
- Dodge ball should be played at the 2012 Summer Olympics and Bryan should be the team captain.
That’s all for now!
Love,
Keela
